Ingredients
- Crushed Tomatoes - 28 ounce
- Tomato Paste - 6 ounce
- Water - 1/2 cup
- Olive Oil - 2 tbsp
- Garlic (minced) - 1 tbsp
- Dried Oregano - 1 tsp
- Dried Basil - 1 tsp
- Dried Thyme - 1/2 tsp
- Fennel Seeds (ground) - 1/4 tsp
- Red Pepper Flakes (optional) - 1 pinch
- Salt and Black Pepper - to taste
Instructions
- Heat a saucepan. Put olive oil in it and heat it as well on medium flame.
- After the olive is hot enough put the minced garlic and sauté it for about 30 seconds or until a nice aroma starts to come.
- Put the crushed tomatoes and the tomato paste in the saucepan and cook it until it starts to release oil.
- Put the water and give it a nice stir so that the tomato and water mix well.
- After the mixture has boiled well put the spices in the pan. Put dried oregano, dried basil, dried thyme, fennel seeds (ground) and red pepper flakes in the pan and mix everything well. Cook it for 10 to 15 minutes and keep stirring in between.
- Put salt and pepper according to your taste and cook for another 2 minutes.
- It is ready to be used.
